Green smoothies


I was always apprehensive to try green smoothies, something about drinking vegetables made me feel weird.  But I've since overcome this and now green smoothies and juices make a regular appearance at our place!  My tip is to start small with the veggies and then increase them the more you get used to drinking them.  You'd be surprised how nice they actually taste.

We've all been pretty sick at the moment and trying to keep up our intake of lots of fresh fruit & veg and I find making smoothies is a great way to get a big chunk in, especially for Paige who has become a very fussy eater lately!



Ingredients
For today's juice I used;
  • 2 kiwi fruit
  • 2 green apples
  • orange
  • big handful of baby spinach
  • chia seeds
  • ice + water

Method
Chuck all the ingredients into the Thermomix and blend on speed 10 for 2 minutes - that's it!

**Handy tip - keep your juicing fruit in the fridge so it's always nice and cold when you make them, otherwise you'll need lots of ice to chill it down.
