I'm back!

Why hello there strangers!!  Happy New Year!  Hope you all had a magical Christmas and a great New Year with family and friends.

So as it turns out writing my blog whilst having a new baby didn't quite work out as I was expecting.  Don't get me wrong, I thought about it alot, thought about the things I would like to write about and all the different things to focus on.  But the hard part was actually having the time to do it.  Before having Paige I knew the majority of my time would be spent focusing on her, and in my down time I was hoping that I would still get a chance to blog.  But the thing is, whenever I got a spare moment to myself the last thing I wanted to do was get out my laptop and start writing.  My brain & my body just needed to rest, and the best thing I ever did for myself was to listen to my body & take that time out to relax.  Thinking about blogging during this time was beginning to feel like a chore, and so I decided I would just wait until the time when I got excited about blogging again, and I think I might just be there.

I found the first 3 months of having a baby to be the hardest, and the most demanding.  In those crucial first months of your babies life you exist solely for them.  All they need is you - you are the source of everything to them - to feed, comfort, cuddle, rock to sleep, kiss, hold & above all - love.  Being a mama is very hard work, but is so amazingly rewarding & all the sleepless nights and hectic moments are worth every single second.  Just seeing a smile from them makes it all worthwhile.

After the first 3 months things got easier, and even easier again each month after that.  Paige is 6 months old today and going great, she is sleeping better during the night, which in turn means I am getting more sleep and am feeling like my old self again.  Yippee!!  Paige has a very rough daytime napping schedule which means I can get some housework done, or just have a cup of tea & sit down for some quiet time.  She is also feeding every 3 hours during the day, which is a very welcome change.  Bedtime for Paige is around 7/8pm which means I even have a couple of hours to myself in the evenings!

So here I am - hoping to get back into my blogging and to hopefully get a chance to write a couple of times a week, it might end up being more, it might end up being less, but I am only going to blog when I feel like writing!

I hope you have all been well!  And I look forward to bringing you many blog posts to come :)

Thanks for all your support!
