TYP - Week Four

Week Four - You Are What You Eat Week

For week four it is recommended to learn new ideas about food, share what you know & expand my food horizons!  I have made week 4 over 2 weeks and extended the 8 week project just a tad.

I have made an effort to flick through some of my cookbooks (including my women's weekly one I got for my birthday) and have tried out some new recipes.  Obviously with having a newborn finding the time to cook an extravagant meal can be hard, so I have opted for quick & easy meal ideas.  I ordered my groceries online last Sunday night and they got delivered on Monday afternoon.  It was so easy!!  I will definitely be ordering online again.

Some things I have cooked up this week include;

- Chicken with roasted tomato & basil sauce
- Creamy pasta with zucchini
- Crispy beef noodles with bok choy
- Chicken & leek lasagne
-Date & apple muesli slice

All of the meals I cooked were a great success!!  They were all nice & easy to make with good flavours.  All recipes came from "1000 Best Ever Womens Weekly Recipes", it retails for $34.95 and you can buy the book here.  I definitely recommend this cook book if you are looking for new meal ideas, the recipes are very easy as well as being varied so you won't get sick of eating the same thing all the time!!

My exercise for week four has continue the same as the last few weeks, mainly long walks outside with Paige.  

At the end of week 4 I am still losing weight gradually and am well on track to my goal of being back at my pre pregnancy weight!!
